All testing devices shall be calibrated according to the protocols set by the testing device manufacturer, or as set forth in Subchapter B.
01. Calibration Procedure. To calibrate a testing device, the official laboratory must use the device to test a set of calibration samples. The testing device shall be adjusted, as necessary, to satisfy each of the following requirements:
a. The performance error on each calibration sample shall be as near as practicable to zero (0).
b. The standard deviation of test results, calculated for the set of calibration samples shall not exceed forty-four thousandths percent (.044%) for milkfat or protein, or eighty-four thousandths percent (.084%) for total solids or solids-nonfat.
