Section 6-83-61 - Obtaining required permits

(a) An excavator required to obtain one or more permits as provided in section 269E-13, HRS, need not obtain the permit or permits prior to notifying the center of a proposed excavation as required by section 269E-7, HRS; provided, however, that notifying the center and subsequent receipt of a response by the operator shall not imply that the proposed work has met with the approval of the operator or agency responsible for the issuance of a required permit.
