Section 1.3.3.3 is added to read as follows: 1.3.3.3 When a difference occurs in the requirements for design and construction for new construction of buildings between this code and the building code, the building code shall apply.
Exception: This code does not apply to new construction except when this code is specifically referenced from the building code.
