40 - Fire door identification

Section 12.4.7 is added to read as follows: 12.4.7 Fire door identification. When required by the AHJ, a sign shall be displayed permanently near or on each required fire door in letters not less than one inch (twenty-five.four millimeters) high. The wording of the required sign can only be modified with prior written approval of the AHJ. The sign shall read as follows:
FIRE DOOR DO NOT OBSTRUCT KEEP CLOSED
