Section 19-104-9 - Certificate of insurance

(a) The applicant shall file with the district engineer a certificate of self-insurance or a certificate of any insurance carrier authorized to do business in the State certifying that there is a comprehensive automobile liability insurance policy covering said applicant, and his authorized agents, executors, administrators, heirs, and assigns and naming the state as additional insured for liability in the minimum amount of $100,000 for bodily injury to or death of one person in any one accident, and in the amount of $300,000 for bodily injury to or death of more than one person in any one accident, and in the amount of $50,000 because of damage to or destruction of property of others in any one accident.

(b) In the event liability minimums higher than those specified are required by law, the higher shall prevail.
