Section 8 - Rental Agreement Termination

Current through February, 2024

(a) A family participating n the following authority housing programs, section 15-186-48 State-Aided Elderly Public Housing Projects, section 15-193-48 State-Aided Family Public Housing Projects, or section 17-202-59 Federally-Assisted Public Housing Projects, shall give the authority at least twenty-eight days written notice that the family will vacate the family's dwelling unit prior to the vacate date.

(b) The authority shall not terminate any rental agreement for nonpayment of rent or other fees or charges until the 120-day temporary moratorium on eviction filings has passed pursuant to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Pub. L. No. 116-136 (March 27, 2020) which is attached as Exhibit A.
