Section 17-794.1-32 - Satisfactory attendance at secondary school or in a course of study leading to a certificate of general equivalence

(a) The department may require a participant who has not completed secondary school or received a certificate of general equivalence, to show satisfactory attendance at a secondary school or a course of study leading to a certificate of general equivalence.

(b) This component does not include other related educational activities, such as adult basic education or language instruction unless it is linked to attending a secondary school or leading to a GED.

(c) Participants shall be supervised on an ongoing basis, no less frequently than daily.

(d) This component may include:

(1) One hour of unsupervised homework for each hour of classroom time; and

(2) Structured and monitored sessions.

(e) The department may pay for costs of child care, transportation, and supportive services for participants in this component, provided funds are available.
