(a) A participant in a drug or alcohol addiction treatment and rehabilitation program, either on a resident or nonresident basis, shall be exempt from the work registration requirement.
(b) Participation in a drug or alcohol addiction treatment and rehabilitation program shall be verified through the organization or institution operating the program.
