Section 17-663-160 - Application processing for residents who have applied under the SSA's prerelease program for the institutionalized

(a) Residents of public institutions applying for SSI and food stamp benefits shall complete a single application for both SSI and food stamps before being released from the institution.

(b) The date of application shall be the date the resident is released from the institution. For residents of public institutions applying for food stamp benefits prior to their release from the institution, he branch shall meet the appropriate processing time frames as stated in chapter 17-647 for each applicant household.

(c) The benefit level for the initial month of certification shall be based on the date of the month the household is released from the institution.
