(a) The purpose of this chapter is to establish the Standards that shall be applied by the department for the recertification of nurse aides employed in state-licensed or state-certified health care settings.
(b) State-licensed or state-certified health care settings may or may not require recertification of nurse aides in their employ. When recertification is required, the Standards as specified in- this chapter shall apply.
