Section 17-1427-1 - Purpose

(a) The purpose of the respite companion service program shall be to provide employment training to low-income persons aged fifty-five or older through part-time employment as respite companions.

(b) Respite care services provided through purchase of service contract shall be for the purpose of providing care to disabled children or adults on a temporary basis to enable their primary caregivers time to engage in other activities.
