An examination shall not be required when the applicant, within a period of one year prior to application, has previously qualified by written examination, or was licensed in good standing or on an inactive status, provided the applicant applies for a license in the same classification in which the applicant previously qualified by examination or was licensed in good standing or on an inactive status.
