Section 16-96-29 - Decision and appeal

(a) After due consideration of all material presented, including but not limited to the application, experience, background, examination results, and personal interview of the applicant, the director shall issue a decision granting or denying the pilot's license application. In the case of a denial, the decision shall include a statement of the reasons for the decision.

(b) Within sixty days of the date of the decision, the applicant may petition the director for a hearing pursuant to chapter 91, HRS.
