The commission recognizing that boxing is an important and valuable part of youth development programs, and recognizing that certain youth development agencies have boxing programs and in connection with these programs, wish to hold exhibitions and/or contests, and further recognizing its responsibility to control such exhibitions and/or contests, adopts the following rules governing amateur boxing. All applicable rules of the commission pertaining to professional boxing shall apply to amateur boxing wherever applicable.
