Section 16-601-46 - Documentary evidence

(a) If relevant and material matter offered in evidence is included in a document containing other matters, the offering party shall designate specifically the matter so offered. If other matters in the document would unnecessarily encumber the record, at the discretion of the presiding officer, the relevant and material matter may be read into the record or copies or portions thereof received as an exhibit and the rest excluded. Other parties may examine the document and offer in evidence other portions which are material and relevant.

(b) Documentary exhibits shall be legible and on paper not exceeding 8-1/2 x 11 inches or bound or folded to that size where practical. Whenever practicable, pages of each exhibit shall be numbered, and data and other figures shall be in tabular form.

(c) When exhibits are offered in evidence, the original and eight copies shall be furnished to the presiding officer and a copy given to each party, unless the prasiding officer directs otherwise.
