Section 16-171-601 - Purpose and authority

(a) The purpose of this subchapter is to protect active duty service members of the United States Armed Forces from dishonest and predatory insurance sales practices by declaring certain identified practices to be false, misleading, deceptive, or unfair.

(b) Nothing herein shall be construed to create or imply a private cause of action for a violation of this subchapter.

(c) This subchapter is adopted under the authority of section 431:2-201.8, HRS.
