Section 16-133-4 - Renewal of cable franchise

Any cable franchise issued pursuant to chapter 440G, HRS, may be renewed by the director upon approval of a cable operator's written application therefor. The period of renewal shall be not less than five nor more than twenty years each, and no cable franchise shall be renewed except upon approval of the written application, accompanied by a fee of $1,000.
