Section 13-93-2 - Prohibited activities

No person shall take, possess, or remove limu from the waters of the State, provided that limu may be taken:

(1) with no holdfast;

(2) with no reproductive nodes;

(3) with a bag limit of not more than one pound (0.45 kilograms) per person per day for family consumption; and

(4) with a bag limit of no more than 10 pounds (4.55 kilograms) per day for each commercial marine licensee, and a fish peddler or commercial marine dealer may possess more than 10 pounds with receipts issued for the purchase pursuant to section 18 9-11, Hawaii Revised Statutes; except that limu shall be taken only for family consumption on the Island of Maui.
