Section 13.3.2.2 is amended to read as follows: "In every story or basement of all buildings when the floor area exceeds 1,500 square feet and there is not provided at least 20 square feet of opening entirely above the adjoining ground level in each 50 lineal feet or fraction thereof of exterior wall in the story or basement on at least one side of the building. Each of the required 20 square feet of opening shall have at least one opening with minimum dimensions of 3 feet by 4 feet. Such required openings shall be unobstructed by sunshades, louvers, grillwork, or other construction on the exterior wall which will prevent or hinder access to the openings by the fire department personnel."
