Section 12-22-46 - Official notice of facts

The hearings officer may take official notice of those matters that may be judicially noticed by the courts of the State. The hearings officer may also take official notice of generally recognized technical or scientific facts within the agency's specialized knowledge, upon notice to all parties before or during trial. Any party shall have an opportunity to contest the facts so noticed, within a reasonable time specified by the hearings officer.
