Air conditioning systems used in hospitals and other medical facilities including long-term care facilities such as nursing homes, chronic disease hospitals and extended care facilities, health centers and medical laboratories shall be designed in accordance with the requirements of the ASHRAE Handbook referenced in § 11-39-3(1) and shall conform to the Minimum Requirements of Construction & Equipment for Hospital & Medical Facilities as published by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services (Publication No. HRA 79-14,500, U. S. Government Printing Office 1978).
