Chapter 351 - NURSING STUDENT LOAN PROGRAM
Section 11-351-5 - Purpose of loans

(a) The department shall provide low interest loans to students who are studying to become licensed registered nurses or nurse practitioners and who intend to work in the State. The loan amount shall be used for:
(1)
Payment of tuition; and
(2) Other
necessary financial assistance in connection with obtaining a degree or
certificate from an accredited degree-granting university, college or nursing
institution in Hawai'i.
(b) The department may grant loans as "matching funds" to secure grants.
