Section 11-177.1-38 - Suspension

(a) A certificate may be suspended for any of the reasons specified in section 11-177.1-34. The suspension shall:

(1) Be in writing;

(2) State the reason for the suspension;

(3) State the duration of the suspension; and

(4) State the conditions for reinstatement.

(b) At the conclusion of the suspension period, the individual may apply for reinstatement, in writing, and provide documentation of compliance with any conditions for reinstatement. If there is no application for reinstatement within ninety days, the department may revoke the certificate.

(c) Reinstated certificates shall not exceed the period of the original certificate. If the certificate expires while it is in suspension, the individual shall be allowed up to ninety days to apply for recertification.
