Rule 464-13-.06 - Intermediate Certification Requirements

Each person applying for Intermediate level certification must:

(a) Be a certified, registered or exempt officer currently em­ployed by a Georgia Law Enforcement Agency certified by P.O.S.T.; and

(b) Have at least 2 years experience as a full-time, paid peace officer; and

(c) Have successfully completed the five (5) required core courses, as outlined in the application, at a P.O.S.T. recognized training facility; and

(d) Have a minimum of ten (10) quarter or six (6) semester hours from an accredited college or university.
