(1) Statutory Basis for Grant Program. O.C.G.A. Sec. 28-5-120.

(2) General Scope and Purpose of Grant Program. The general scope and purpose of the grant program is to provide support for educational projects which use the knowledge and insights of one or more humanities disciplines to increase understanding of historical, literary, and philosophical perspectives on human experience.

(3) General Terms and Conditions of the Grant. The general terms and conditions of the grant are the development of a plan for a humanities project according to the Guidelines for Grant Applications and commitment to provide at least one-half of the cost of the project.

(4) Eligible Recipients of a Grant must be non-profit organizations or public agencies.

(5) Criteria for Award. Grants are awarded through a competitive application process. Awards are made for projects which best fulfill the grant guidelines which include the appropriate involvement of humanities scholars, a plan to serve a target audience, an adequate evaluation plan, and a publicity plan.
