Rule 120-2-47-.04 - Insurance Required

A service contract shall not be issued, sold, or offered for sale in this State unless the provider of the service contract is a named insured under a service contract reimbursement insurance policy issued by an insurer authorized to do business in this state, or by a surplus lines insurer meeting all of the requirements of O.C.G.A. Section 33-5-21, which has not been rejected by the Commissioner for such purpose, and which is provided by a licensed surplus lines broker pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 33-5-20et seq.
