Section 69I-26.002 - Warrant Release Authorization Identification

(1) Each agency shall furnish the Transmittal unit of the Bureau of Accounting, Division of Accounting and Auditing, a listing or letter containing the agency employees who are authorized to pick up warrants for the agency.

(2) The Transmittal unit will issue to the agency Warrant Release Authorization Identification Cards for employees authorized by the agency to pick up warrants.

(3) At all times the Identification Cards shall be controlled by and in the possession of the agency except when authorized employees are scheduled to pick up warrants for the agency.

(4) Immediately after the warrants are picked up and delivered to the agency, the agency shall take possession and control of the Identification Card.

(5) In the event an employee is no longer authorized to pick up warrants or the agency considers the Identification Card to be invalid, the agency shall notify the Transmittal unit immediately and forward the Identification Card to the Transmittal unit. In the event the Identification Card is lost, the agency shall immediately notify the Transmittal unit by phone and follow up with a letter of confirmation.

(6) No warrant will be released unless the Transmittal unit is presented a valid Warrant Release Authorization Identification Card.
