Chapter 69C-5 - CASH MANAGEMENT CONSULTATION
Section 69C-5.002 - Scope

The purpose of establishing a Cash Management function for Florida State Government is to promote the efficient handling of the cash assets of the State. The benefit to the taxpayers will come as more funds are made available for investment and additional non-tax revenues are provided.

(1) The Cash Manager will provide consultation to all State Agencies with regard to Cash Management operations. The Cash Manager will develop a review program which will be an ongoing effort to ensure that optimum Cash Management practices are being employed and that the Cash Management informational needs of State Agencies are being met.

(2) In performing Cash Management Consultation services there will be principles followed. They are:

(a) Education and assistance in Cash Management Practices;

(b) Full consideration of the operating needs of Agencies in evaluating and recommending procedure changes; and,

(c) Government-wide efficiency considerations relating to cash concentration.

(3) These rules establish procedures for conducting that activity and attaining those goals.
