Section 64F-6.006 - Exceptional Student Education Program

(1) Students suspected of being exceptional as defined by Rule 6A-6.0301, F.A.C., shall be referred for professional evaluation in accordance with school district procedures for providing special programs.

(2) Relevant health information shall be made available to the school district personnel by the school nurse and health care providers for staffing and educational planning.

(3) The local school health services plan shall address procedures for the coordination of the School Health Services Program and the Exceptional Student Education Program and shall include provision for a current screening for vision and hearing and a review of the student health records to ensure that physical health problems are considered in such placements.
