Chapter 64E-27 - CHILDHOOD LEAD POISONING PREVENTION
Section 64E-27.001 - Screening and Case Management

(1) The Childhood Lead Poisoning Screening and Case Management Guide (the Guide), January 2008, herein incorporated by reference shall be used to define the appropriate blood lead screening and testing methods and intervals at which children under 72 months of age shall be screened for elevated blood lead levels and tested for confirmed blood lead poisoning. The Guide shall further serve to aid health care practitioners in determining appropriate medical follow-up blood lead testing timeframes and case management for children with confirmed lead poisoning, and to establish health care provider case reporting and laboratory blood lead analyses and reporting requirements for children with confirmed blood lead poisoning.
