Chapter 61J1-7 - OPERATION AND BUSINESS
Section 61J1-7.005 - Temporary Practice

(1) Pursuant to the provisions of Section 475.630, F.S., the Board shall recognize, on a temporary basis, the license or certification of an appraiser issued by another state, if:
(a) The property
to be appraised is part of a federally related transaction, as that term is
defined in Section 475.611(1)(s),
F.S.
(b) The appraiser's business
is of a temporary nature. Temporary nature shall be defined to mean a single
appraisal assignment for the time necessary to perform the appraisal
assignment.
(c) The appraiser
registers with the Board. Registration shall be on FREAB Form 13 which is
incorporated by reference in DBPR Rule
61-35.026, F.A.C.
(d) The person requesting recognition of a
license or certification as an appraiser issued by another state is a
nonresident of Florida.
(2) In order to register with the Board, the appraiser must:
(a) Pay the fee as established
in Rule 61J1-2.001, F.A.C.
(b) Provide certified copies of proof of
licensure or certification in another state and certified copies of the records
of any disciplinary action taken against the appraiser's license or
certification in that or any other jurisdiction. If no disciplinary action has
taken place, then a certification of no action must be provided.
(c) Agree in writing to cooperate with any
investigation initiated under Part II, Chapter 475, F.S., as provided in
Section 475.630(2)(c),
F.S.
(d) Sign a notarized statement
that the appraiser has read Part II, Chapter 475, F.S. and rule Division 61J1,
F.A.C., and agrees to abide by these provisions in all appraisal
activities.
(3) The Department shall issue a numbered temporary permit and the number shall be used in the appraisal report performed under the permit.
