Chapter 61G16-6 - EXAMINATIONS
Section 61G16-6.006 - Licensure by Endorsement

(1) The following requirements apply to any applicant for endorsement who has held an active license in good standing to practice geology in a state, trust, territory, or possession of the United States:

(a) The applicant shall meet the qualifications for licensure in Sections 492.105(1)(b)-(e), F.S.; and,

(b) The applicant shall have been licensed through the examination provided by the Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) in at least one state, trust, territory, or possession of the United States. The applicant shall have received a score on that examination which is equal to or greater than the score required by Florida.

(2) The following requirements apply to applicants, who elect not to apply through subsection (1) for endorsement, and who have held a valid license to practice geology in another state, trust, territory or possession of the United States for at least ten years before the date of application submittal, provided the license is active at the time of application submittal or has expired not more than two years prior to application submittal:

(a) The applicant shall have passed a state, regional, national, or other examination that is equivalent to or more stringent than the ASBOG examination; or

(b) The applicant shall be required to take the ASBOG examination in order to become licensed.
