Chapter 61G16-1 - ORGANIZATION AND PURPOSE
Section 61G16-1.009 - Definitions

As used in Chapter 492, F.S., and in these rules where the context will permit the following terms have the following meanings:

(1) "Responsible Charge" shall mean one who is accountable for and exercises direct control and personal supervision of oneself's and others' geological work with initiative, skill and independent scientific judgment.

(2) "Responsible Position" shall mean a position in which one performs geological work with initiative, skill and independent judgment, under the supervision and direction of a professional geologist licensed under Chapter 492, F.S., a professional engineer licensed under Chapter 471, F.S., or other qualified professional.

(3) "Long-term, ongoing relationship" shall mean a contractual relationship between the professional geologist and the firm, corporation, or partnership, in which the professional geologist performed or is responsible for the supervision, direction, or control of the work contained in the geological papers, reports, or documents that are signed, dated, and sealed by the professional geologist.
