48.1 A licensee shall ensure staff members and children wash their hands with soap and running water, including when gloves have been worn, and use paper towels or a mechanical hand dryer, as listed in the table in this subsection:

| * Eating or handling food; | * Toileting; |
| * Giving medications; | * Coming into contact with blood, fecal matter, urine, vomit, nasal secretions, or other body secretions; |
| * Caring for a child who may be sick; | * Outdoor play; |
| * Using a water-play or other sensory table/container with other children; and | * Handling or touching animals or their equipment or after coming into contact with an animal's body secretions; |
| * Using shared play dough or clay. | * Cleaning; and |
| * Taking out the garbage. |
