Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators
Section 29-192-4e - Adopted standards

Current through September 9, 2024

(a) The following national standards, together with all addenda and amendments thereto, are hereby adopted as part of sections 29-192-1e to 29-192-6e, inclusive, of the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies:

(1) ASME A17.1-2013, Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators;

(2) ASME A17.6-2010, Standard for Elevator Suspension, Compensation, and Governor Systems;

(3) ASME A17.7-2007, Performance-Based Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators;

(4) ANSI/ASSE A10.4-2007, Personnel Hoists and Employee Elevators on Construction and Demolition Sites; and

(5) ANSI B77.1-2011, Passenger Ropeways-Aerial Tramways, Aerial Lifts, Surface Lifts, Tows and Conveyors--Safety Requirements.

(b) The standards adopted by The American Society of Mechanical Engineers are available at www.ASME.org.
