Current through Register Vol. 47, No. 5, March 10, 2024

Entire rule repealed eff. 11/30/2011

I. PURPOSE

1.1 Statement of Basis and Purpose:1 CCR 601-5, Rules and Regulations for Special Events or Civic Functions on State Highways, were promulgated on September 14, 1979 based on statutory authority found at § 43-1-105(1)(J) C.R.S. (1973). The authority for this set of rules no longer exists; therefore the Commission, upon the Department's recommendation, is repealing these Rules in their entirety, inclusive of the attached form. Current statutory authority setting forth the law with regard to special permits is set forth in § 42-4-106 C.R.S. (2010) and § 24-33.5-226 C.R.S. (2010). This repeal does not impact current permitting practice; it clarifies the process by repealing a procedure that is obsolete.
