4.1. Location of Containers
4.1.1.
Consideration shall be given to the physiological effects of ammonia as well as
to adjacent fire hazards in selecting the location for a storage container.
Containers shall be located outside of buildings or in buildings or sections
thereof approved for this purpose.
4.1.2. Containers shall be located at least
50 feet from a dug well or other sources of potable water supply, unless the
container is a part of a water treatment installation.
4.1.3. The location of permanent storage
containers shall be outside densely populated areas, unless the location has
been approved in writing by the appropriate local governing body.
4.1.4. Container locations shall comply with
the following table:

4.1.5. Storage areas shall be kept free of
readily ignitable materials such as waste, weeds and long dry grass.
