In accordance with Section 11755.2 of the Health and Safety Code and Section 1925, Subpart II, Part B, Title XIX of the Public Health and Service Act (Section 300 x-25, Title 42, United States Code), this Chapter establishes the Resident Run Housing Program (RRHP), which provides small, interest-free, start-up loans of $4,000 or less, to private, non-profit entities to rent a house, apartment, or other housing to be used as a self-supporting, resident run, alcohol and drug-free, on-going group living arrangement for six or more individuals, who are recovering from alcoholism and/or drug addiction.

The regulations contained in this Chapter apply to loans made under the RRHP, loan applicants, co-applicants, and residents of RRHP group homes.
