Unit credit toward the undergraduate or graduate degree may be secured by:

(1) passing an examination given or approved by the appropriate campus authority,

(2) demonstration of learning, skills, and knowledge acquired through experience,

(3) learning acquired outside formal higher education,

(4) education and training provided by the Armed Forces of the United States, or

(5) other appropriate means of assessment as determined and approved by the appropriate campus authority in accordance with system policy.
