Section 1438.21 - Official Sample, Prior to Preparation

Sampling shall be taken at random and in the amounts as follows:

| 500 lbs. or less.......................... | 30 | ||
| 501 lbs. to 5 tons.......................... | 100 | ||
| over 5 tons.......................... | 200 | ||
| Defect tolerances: | |||
| less than 500 lbs. .......................... | ..........................25 lbs. | ||
| 500 lbs. to 2000 lbs. .......................... | ..........................100 lbs. | ||
| over 2000 lbs.......................... | ..........................200 lbs. | ||
| plus 100 lbs. for each additional 2000 lbs. or fraction thereof | |||
Adequate space and equipment for sampling and inspection for the enforcing officer shall be provided by the owner or person in possession.
