Any load of tomatoes which is offered for delivery to a canner shall be rejected and turned back to the grower if the tomatoes do not meet the minimum requirements for color based on comminuted raw product sampling. The maximum Agtron E5-M reading allowed to meet the minimum color for tomatoes shall be 39, except due to the unusual climatic and growing conditions in the desert areas, the maximum Agtron reading for tomatoes grown south and east of San Gorgonio Pass, shall be 40.
