Section 1180.38 - Removal Permit

(a) Carcasses, meat, meat byproducts, meat food products, and all other non-rendered raw animal materials shall be promptly rendered and shall not be removed from rendering establishments or their premises except when a special permit has been issued by the Department and conditions specified by the Department are met to prevent the improper use of such materials.

(b) Renderers who desire to remove inedible animal materials other than animal carcasses, from a rendering establishment shall submit a completed MPES Form 79-018 Application For Permit To Remove Inedible Material From A Rendering Plant (Rev. 08/11) to the Department.

1. New section filed 1-25-72 as an emergency; effective upon filing (Register 72, No. 5).
2. Certificate of Compliance filed 3-10-72 (Register 72, No. 11).
3. Renumbering of former section 1180.38 to section 1180.47 and new section 1180.38 filed 3-7-2012; operative 4-6-2012 (Register 2012, No. 10).
