On June 19, 2014, the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board adopted Resolution No. R1-2014-0009, amending Chapter 4 of the Basin Plan to:

a) incorporate by reference the State Water Resources Control Board's (State Water Board) Water Quality Control Policy for Siting, Design, Operation, and Maintenance of Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems (available on the State Water Board's website) to apply in all watersheds, except the Russian River Watershed;

b) retain the existing Policy on the Control of Water Quality with Respect to On-Site Waste Treatment and Disposal Practices to apply in the Russian River Watershed until such time as a Russian River pathogen indicator bacteria Total Maximum Daily Load is adopted and approved; and

c) retain existing region-specific maintenance, monitoring, and repair requirements to apply regionwide. On June 2, 2015, the State Water Board approved the amendment under Resolution No. 2015-0036.
