Section 72467 - Special Treatment Program Service Unit-Program Director

(a) The facility shall have a program director who has been approved by the Department of Health Care Services. The program director shall not be the director of nursing services, charge nurse or facility administrator.
(b) The program director shall have at least two years of experience or training in a mental health setting, one year of which shall include experience or training in program development for mentally disordered.
(c) The program director shall ensure that the in-service education program is provided.
(d) The program director shall be one of the following:
1. Change without regulatory effect amending section heading and subsection (a)(7) and amending NOTE filed 3-12-2013 pursuant to section 100, title 1, California Code of Regulations (Register 2013, No. 11).
2. Change without regulatory effect amending subsections (a)-(b) and (d)(12) and amending NOTE filed 6-10-2015 pursuant to section 100, title 1, California Code of Regulations (Register 2015, No. 24).
3. Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-55-20 (2019 CA EO 55-20), dated April 22, 2020, which suspended certain provisions related to the operation of treatment and rehabilitation facilities that could restrict staffing flexibility, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
