Section 22701 - Purpose

(a) The purpose of this Article is to establish standards and procedures for certifying software vendors to file information required under the Political Reform Act of 1974 with the Secretary of State's California Automated Lobbyist and Campaign Contribution and Expenditure Search System (CAL-ACCESS) electronic filing system through the Application Programming Interface (API).

(b) This Article only applies to software vendors and is not intended to apply to filers who only use a software vendor's electronic filing system for filing purposes.

Filing deadline specified in Government Code section 11349.3(a) extended 60 calendar days pursuant to Executive Order N-40-20.
