Section 599.710 - Emergency Overtime

Employees in Work Week Subgroups 4A and 4B required and authorized in advance by the appointing power to work overtime as a result of an emergency situation, shall be compensated for overtime worked in accordance with the provisions of Work Week Group 1 for the duration of the emergency without prior approval of the Department.

For the purposes of this section, an emergency situation is one declared by the Governor or the appointing power and is defined as a situation where there is extreme peril to persons and property caused by such conditions as fire, flood, storm, epidemic, riot, or earthquake.
