Section 599.952 - Eligibility

Employees must be designated as an excluded employee to enroll during the annual open enrollment period.
(a) To be eligible for the FlexElect Program, an employee must be working half-time or more and be either:
(b) FlexElect participation is limited to employees whose benefits are administered by the Department.
(c) Employees who are on an approved leave of absence with return rights to an eligible excluded class will be eligible to enroll and participate in FlexElect during the September enrollment period.
(d) FlexElect participants who change from excluded status to represented status during the plan year will remain in the FlexElect Program for the plan year.
