(a) Examinations for Career Executive Assignment positions shall be publicized as widely as appears practicable. When it is in the best interest of the State and of economy and efficiency, examinations may be conducted with restricted publicity subject to the approval of the Department.

(b) Examination announcements shall conform to the provisions of Article 8, section 170.

1. Amendment filed 8-14-79; effective thirtieth day thereafter (Register 79, No. 33).
2. Change without regulatory effect amending section and NOTE filed 9-16-92 pursuant to section 100, title 1, California Code of Regulations (Register 92, No. 39).
3. Amendment of section and NOTE filed 4-27-2017; operative 7-1-2017. Submitted to OAL for filing and printing only pursuant to Government Code section 18211 (Register 2017, No. 17).
