Section 592.1 - Compressed Gas Cylinders and Cartridges

Nitrogen cylinders or cartridges used for inert gas storage used as an expellant for wheeled extinguishers shall be hydrostatically tested every five years.

EXCEPTION: Cylinders (except those charged with carbon dioxide) complying with Section 180.209(b), Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, shall be hydrostatically tested every 10 years.
