Section 2108 - Timing for Compliance and Pipeline Prioritization

(a) On May 1, 2021, the State Fire Marshal shall commence enforcement of this Article against any new or replacement pipeline near an environmentally and ecologically sensitive area in the coastal zone that is required to use best available technology.
(b) On October 1, 2021, the State Fire Marshal shall commence enforcement of this Article against an operator of an existing pipeline located near an environmentally and ecologically sensitive area in the coastal zone that is required to submit a risk analysis and a plan to retrofit existing pipelines with the best available technology.
(c) On April 1, 2023, the State Fire Marshal shall commence enforcement of this Article against an operator of an existing pipeline located near an environmentally and ecologically sensitive area in the coastal zone that is required to complete retrofit of existing pipelines with the best available technology.
